AGM & Presentation on Trauma-informed practice and International Collaboration

Speaker: Kirsten Wright

Online - Wednesday 2nd July 2025

9.45am to 11.30pm

The International Group are pleased to bring you our AGM programme for 2025. As our second AGM, we would love to welcome our members, and anyone interested, to join us at 10am-11.30am (BST) to review our activities during 2024/25, discuss what we are planning for the coming year, including our membership survey in advance of our presentation at the ARA Conference 2025.

The AGM will be held online via Teams at 10am (BST) on Wednesday 2 July 2025. This AGM will form part of a wider training event, focusing on trauma-informed practice and international collaboration. This will be a 45-minute session led by Kirsten Wright. In 2021, Kirsten Wright and Nicola Laurent introduced a set of trauma-informed principles as part of an overarching trauma-informed framework for archives and records. Kirsten is the Program Manager, Find & Connect web resource, University of Melbourne and has published and presented on topics including: archives and power; historical language and archival description; trauma-informed archival practice; and out-of-home care records. Kirsten’s session looks closer at work done to introduce trauma-informed practice to archives, the role of the international community, and how we can implement or support the ongoing work on trauma informed archival practice.

All are welcome to attend the meeting and training, but please note that only individual members of the ARA may vote in the AGM committee elections. You are also welcome to join us just for the speaker session.

To attend the event please sign up by the end of Sunday 29 June 2025.
