Additional bursary for students and recent graduates thanks to Artefactual

Artefactual Systems Inc are funding a new bursary for the ARA Conference 2023

Artefactual Systems Inc. is a privately held company that provides professional services centred on the open source software projects we steward, two of which are Archivematica and Access to Memory (AtoM). They exist to provide the cultural memory community with vital expertise and technology in the domains of digital preservation and online access. They strive to be the most trusted partner for those who care for the world’s cultural memory by building knowledge, networks, and tools and contributing openly to a global community of practice.

The Artefactual bursary is open to members and non-members of the ARA.

Applicants for the Artefactual bursary need to meet the following criteria:

• Be a student

• Be a recent graduate (in the last 2 years ie graduated by July 2021)

The bursary includes full conference attendance (the three-day programme, two nights’ accommodation, and food – alcohol not included). Travel expenses are not included.

Those who have not previously received a bursary will be given preference.

(NB: if you are a speaker at Conference, you are eligible to apply for this bursary.)

The following should also be noted:

  • Applicants should be aware that those who have not previously received a bursary shall be given preference over previously successful applicants.

  • Applicants must confirm that any costs they claim will not be paid by their employer, and that their employer has not already registered them as a delegate at the Conferences.

  • Successful applicants will be asked to contribute to the reporting of the conference on the ARA website and through Twitter and other social media while the conference is taking place and may be asked to provide a short report on their experience at conference to be used in various ARA communications channels.
