While interns and volunteers had been accepted in the Archive previously, this had declined slightly prior to Katie starting in April 2024. Since then, Katie has supervised four such students, designing their projects & monitoring their work, along with three other students – one of whom is half-way through her two-year long placement. By taking the students on placement Katie has developed a good relationship with the school UCC School of History.
