International Group

About

The ARA International Section aims to connect and support international archive and records management professionals, offering a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and addressing international challenges. Our focus is facilitating connections and networking opportunities for professionals while providing forums to share experiences, best practices, and knowledge on current developments and techniques in the sector, particularly for those in professionally and geographically remote areas. We actively promote discussions around issues such as, but not limited to, available and emerging technologies, resource limitations, skills gaps, and professional development.

What we do

Regular Meetings

The International Section meets several times a year primarily online in order to accommodate as many members across the globe as possible.

Connect with us on social media and through our mailing list to stay up to date.

Training

We host training events throughout the year to support International members in overcoming skill gaps, to share case studies of achievements and challenges of international professionals, and to discuss the benefits and sometimes pitfalls of working internationally or in professionally and geographically isolated areas.

Beyond connecting with us on social media and through our mailing list, please refer to the ARA Training and Events page for upcoming trainings.

Most of our trainings is offered free of charge to members, though we may occasionally request a nominal fee to cover expenses. Non-ARA members are welcome to attend training events, as long as spaces are available and at an increased attendance fee.
