Archive Surveys
The ARA National Surveys Group (previous the Public Services Quality Group (PSQG)) co-ordinates two important surveys for the sector, the Survey of Visitors and the Distance Users of Enquiry Services Survey. The surveys take place between September and November in alternate years, so each survey takes place every 2 years.
Registration for the surveys start in the June prior to the survey, and each is open for all UK archives to take part. The surveys provide individual archives, regions and the sector as a whole information on who our customer are and what they are using us for as well as valuable feedback on various aspects of our services. If you are considering taking part in the survey for the first time, or have any questions, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Survey of Visitors
Every other year between September and November, the ARA Survey Group conducts a survey of visitors to UK archives. The Headline Reports highlight the national results and trends, whilst the Benchmarking Results provide the detail for individual archives.
