Friday lunchtime CPD webinar: Exploring archival technologies with ARA’s SAT committee

Join this informal webinar with the committee of the ARA Section for Archives and Technology as we explore tech issues impacting our day-to-day work. Committee members will briefly discuss different ways new technologies are affecting their work with archives, including introducing Python to workflows, planning for new content management systems (CMS), and exploring options for archiving dynamic websites following the Conifer sunset announcement. We’d love to hear about what you are doing too!

An understanding of manual capture tools for web archiving dynamic sites and how they can fit into wider web archiving workflows.

About our presenters:
Malcolm Mathieson RMARA is the Archivist for Amnesty International’s Secretariat and has been SAT’s Acting Chair for more than a year.
Lucy Rumble is the Digital Archivist for Newham Heritage Service, hired to lead an innovative digital programme funded by the UK National Lottery Heritage Fund to transform access to the London Borough of Newham’s collections. She is also SAT’s Training and Events Officer.
Jake Bickford FMARA is a Web Archivist at The National Archives, UK and is SAT’s Treasurer.
