ARA Conference Programme News

We have taken the decision to host the conference as a virtual event, withthe theme of last year's postponed conference of Sustainability, Advocacyand Diversity.

2021 website bannerThe ARA annual conference continues to be the only professional development event that brings together archivists, record keepers and conservators. This multi-disciplinary event delivers a networking opportunity that is broad yet fully relevant to the range of emerging and best practice in our combined disciplines.

This past year has brought with it fast-paced and marked change in how we all live and work. We will continue our exploration of the key themes that we embarked on together in Glasgow and Leeds, as well as our important work on diversity and inclusion across the profession.

We are carrying over the programme from last year's postponed conference and our ongoing conversation will take up the key themes of Sustainability, Advocacy and Diversity. When we meet again, albeit virtually, we will no doubt also consider how the events of the past year have changed our thinking on each of these key themes and much more.

The move to a virtual event format will enable us to provide you with many more hours of accessible content, with all parallel sessions recorded and available for 30 days after the conference for you and your colleagues to view.

Joining online will be a cost-effective option for members, non-members, first-time attendees and for colleagues wishing to join from overseas. A new 'Institutional Pass' will allow multiple attendance from remote teams and those working on shared projects.

We look forward to welcoming you to the conference.
