‘New Professional of the Year’ Award Winner is....

The ARA announces the winner of its inaugural ‘New Professional of the Year’ Award, James Elder, Archives Manager at BT Plc. Awarded for ‘outstanding contribution’ to the recordkeeping sector, established members of the recordkeeping profession nominated six candidates in total.

ARA Welcomes Northants Decision

The ARA has welcomed the decision – announced earlier this week – by Northamptonshire County Council to suspend drastic changes to public access hours at Northamptonshire Archives. The changes were announced in July and resulted in a wave of local opposition from a wide range of groups.
