DPC announce two new grants for training
The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has announced it is offering twogrants to help its members attend The Netherlands’ Institute forSound and Vision’s Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving, Hilversum,14-17 January 2020.
The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has announced it is offering two grants to help its members attend The Netherlands’ Institute for Sound and Vision’s Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving, Hilversum, 14-17 January 2020. As ARA is a member of the DPC, we are entitled to nominate one ARA member to compete for this DPC grant.
The Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving is a yearly four-day training course especially for audiovisual collection holders and archivists. During the Winter School participants are offered the practical knowledge to design and implement a preservation plan for their audiovisual collections. The grants offered by the DPC will cover full course fees and a contribution towards travel and accommodation.
If you would like to apply to be the ARA member nominated to apply for this DPC grant, please send the following information to Lorraine Logan at the ARA office by MONDAY 4 NOVEMBER. The successful applicant will be notified on THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER and will then have until WEDNESDAY 13 NOVEMBER to provide further information to DPC direct to compete for the grant. Please note that as the successful ARA nominee we can't guarantee that DPC will award you the grant, just that you will be in with a chance.
