ARA Together Online Community Calls

As part of the ARA Together Online Community, we run a series of Online Community calls which provide an opportunity to explore some of the topical issues affecting the sector during the pandemic. Here are the dates and brief details of our forthcoming calls. You will receive an email with more details about the calls the week before each call takes place.

  • On Wednesday 14th April, join us for a call on the subject of ‘Information Legislation in a Changing Landscape’ where we will explore current developments around GDPR and Copyright. The call will be hosted by Naomi Korn, one of UK’s leading experts in copyright, data protection and licensing. Naomi is founder and Managing Director of Naomi Korn Associates.
  • On Wednesday 5th May, join us for a call on the subject of ‘Records at Risk.’ The call will be hosted by Sara Kinsey, Head of Historical Archives at Nationwide Building Society.

ARA Together Online Community

The ARA Together’s Online Community is a free online platform where you can chat with each other and share openly via text, voice chat and video. We will be there each day to answer your questions and will host regular calls where we can all speak to each other about the latest challenges and developments. In this way we can support and connect with each other regularly and learn from one another as a community, sharing experiences, advice and examples of best practice.

Registration couldn’t be simpler, and you can start engaging in the conversations as soon as you’ve signed up. Click on this link to sign up to Discord and to access the ARA Together server. Once you have created an account and signed in, you can access the ARA Together server from the left hand menu bar (shown with an ARA icon). In the ARA Together server you will see different channels showing on the left with #Titles. Please review the #server-rules and then jump into the #welcome channel to introduce yourself. If you need any support with Discord simply pop your questions in the #server-support channel.
