Below we list various ARA activities/projects where we invite tenders.
Submissions: Submission of tender proposals deadline Monday 7 September 5pm
The National Archives (UK) and the Archives and Records Association are working in partnership to provide a toolkit and introductory training for the recordkeeping profession in identifying and dismantling oppressive practice. Consolidating our resources and initiatives in this way will help us provide the strongest offer we can to support colleagues in this important work. We are releasing an Invitation to Tender on Friday 7 August, to select and appoint a consultant or consultants to deliver this work for us, with submissions due by Monday 7 September. We hope to make an appointment in the early Autumn.
The consultant or consultants’ work will build upon recent structured conversations held online where input has been provided about what recordkeeping professionals most need to help in this area. We will also build on other previous work and aim to roll out both toolkit and training in the coming months.
Jenny Moran, ARA Board Member and Diversity portfolio holder said “We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the structured conversations. The views, questions and comments expressed will ensure the resource produced will be a vital tool for everyone working in recordkeeping. We look forward to progressing this important and overdue work”
Rachael Minott, Inclusion and Change Manager, The National Archives (UK) said “In working towards being a truly inclusive sector, we must first address with honesty the oppressions we all tolerate and perpetuate. We hope through this process the archive sector can truly make steps to being an open sector, that earns and engenders trust.”
