We are one of the nations of ARA UK & Ireland and cover all of Scotland, including the islands.
ARA Scotland is a vibrant, active nation and holds meetings and events regularly throughout the year. It plays a key part in the record keeping sector in Scotland, working closely with colleagues from across the UK and Ireland to promote the care and preservation of archival material. ARA Scotland seeks to represent the views of the diverse community of professionals working in this field.

ARA Scotland holds regular meetings at various locations throughout the country. All members are welcome to attend these events and will find them an invaluable way to keep up to date with issues affecting the records professions, both in Scotland and further afield. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow professionals and share knowledge and experience.
In addition to the full meetings there are also regular meetings of the ARA Scotland Executive Committee as well as ASLAWG (Archivists of Scottish Local Authorities Working Group).
If you wish to engage with us or find others working in Archives or Record Managers in your area why not log on to the ARA Community area, build your profile and start discussing!
