About me
I have just recently been let go from my job, I have worked in social care for over 12 years. And because of my underlying health condition and being advised to follow stringent social distancing at all time, due to Covid-19.
I'am currently studying for a Social Science BA (Hons)
And I have a great interest in genealogy, history, especially social history. I have always had in being a archivist, dealing with historical documents, and perhaps now I can focus on this being a goal one day.
During lockdown, I have been part of several remote volunteer projects. First of these being part of the National Archives, Lives at Sea Project, transcribing WW1 Royal Navy Service Records.
And the CWGC Eyes On Hands On Project,
The Common Room in Newcastle transcribing mining records dating back to 1816,
And I will shortly be staring transcribing Digital data, gathered by the IBCC of interviews of veterans of Bomber Command, which is being led by Lincoln University
