Records Manager Equality and Human Rights Commission
I completed a Masters in Archives and Records Management from Dundee University and have worked in various records management roles across several organisations. My current role is the Records Manager at the Equality and Human Rights Commission and encompasses a whole range of Information Governance responsibilities.
I previously held the role of Secretary for the Section, and have found being on the Committee to be great experience for my professional development.

I am a professionally qualified Government Records and Information Management Specialist with over 10 years experience in the records management field.
In addition to being an Executive Committee member of the Records Management and Information Governance Group, I am an Executive Committee member of the Association of Departmental Records Officers and an accredited member of the Information and Records Management Society.

I joined the Section for Records Management and Information Governance executive committee in 2016. My responsibilities as Communications Officer include coordinating the Section's newsletter and special edition of ARC Magazine. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any news to share with Section members or are interested in writing for the Section's special edition of ARC magazine.
My current role covers all aspects of information governance and I have found the Section a great opportunity to learn and share best practice. I would highly recommend getting involved!

I joined the committee to meet other information professionals, learn more about how different organisations manage their records and to help guide me through my professional development.

I’ve come to Records Management by a slightly circuitous route, having previously worked in a variety of roles in libraries, the DWP, and for a social care charity. I’m new to the section and to the committee, but keen to be involved.
