Bursary Support

If you are on the Registration Scheme and are looking for some financialsupport to attend events or training, we may be able to help.

The Archives and Records Association is able to provide some financial support towards the Registration Scheme in the form of a bursary. These limited bursaries are available to help attendance to professionally relevant events and training courses. These events may or may not be sponsored by the ARA. Please note: Candidates wishing to attend the ARA Annual Conference must apply for bursaries from the main conference bursary fund and not from the Registration bursary fund.

Who can apply for the Bursary?

The Registration Scheme Bursary is available to those who are currently on the Registration Scheme and are personal members of the ARA.

Bursaries are limited, but all applications will be considered and if successful, the whole or part of the funds will be available.

The maximum value of the bursary must not exceed £500. Bursaries will only be paid in advance of the training course taking place. Retrospective applications for bursaries will not be considered. Previous bursary awards may be taken into account when applications are considered.

Can I apply for a bursary to help me attend a Registration Scheme 'Blitz-It' workshop?

Yes, applications to cover the cost of travel to a Registration Scheme 'Blitz-It' workshop will be considered. Applications should not be for less than £50. As with all bursary applications, funding is limited and we advise that you do not book tickets for travel before you have received notification of the outcome of your application.
