Each of these affiliated groups sends a representative, a Society of Archivists’ member, who is co-opted onto the SRG Committee.

Often qualified in related or other specialist disciplines, many members of these groups have subsequently joined the Society of Archivists’ in their own right.

Members of the affiliated groups do not receive SRG News or other Society of Archivists benefits but hear about training events, which they can attend at non-SoA rates, through their representative.
