New RMG Training Programme

Following on from the Training Questionnaire sent out to all members earlier this year to assist us in identifying those subjects of greatest importance to you, the RMG has put together a new training programme.  The intention is to hold two training events a year on topics that you, the membership, feel you want to know more on.

Based on the responses we have focused on the areas below to be the subjects of our next few training events:
1) Electronic Records Management - standards, appraisal, benefits of/business case, software - these could be split into more than one event to ensure that all areas are covered sufficiently
2) Freedom of Information - what are the issues facing Records Managers after implementation?
3) Fileplans - practical workshops

It is important that these events are useful to you so we would ask you to comment on these topics and suggest other subjects or speakers that you would be interested in.  Please use the RMG Mailing List, an e-mail announcement and discussion list which is available to all members of the RMG.  If you are not already subscribed to this list, you can do so by emailing Eluned.Jones@wales.gsi.gov.uk.

We would also like your comments on training in general in order to help us tailor our programme effectively: What would persuade you to attend a training event?  What prevents/stops you attending a training event?  We welcome your comments good and bad, so please also feel free to post general comments about the RMG so that we can continue to improve our service to you.
