10.00am Ben Walsh: Archives at the Cutting Edge
It has never been more important for the cultural sector to bring its collections and expertise to the widest possible audience. Building cultural capital can help to promote the self esteem of a student and can be a starting point for better understanding between communities. This session looks at the ways in which various archives and museums have used cutting edge technology as the vehicle to engage young people in studying, enjoying and making use of archive collections.
