ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF) and ISDF: Archival data standardsDate: 1 September 2008 Location: Library, University of Bath Tim Powell (NCUACS) will offer an introduction to ISAD(G) and finding aids; Jane Langford (TNA) will explain how to apply ISAAR(CPF); and Victoria Peters (Chair of SoA Data Standards Group, University of Glasgow) will introduce the new standard for functions, ISDF, and explain how it works. Requests for training on Freedom of Information, Data Protection and intellectual property rights came out highest in the recent survey of training needs in the South West region. The regional training officers are working on an event on these topics for Spring 2009.
Requests and ideas for future regional training events, to take place either as a short session within a regional meeting or as a separate event, are always welcome. Please contact one of the Training Officers.
