2007
Training is envisaged for September 2007 on films and modern media.
2006
A practical hands-on morning was organised in 2006 at Glasgow University Archives. Linda Ramsay and two other conservators from the National Archives of Scotland very kindly agreed to be present as teams attempted to deal with the aftermath of a flood and the consequent very soggy papers. Presentations about dealing with a disaster and Disaster Box contents were given by Carol Parry and Heather Mackay respectively. 2005
A training event was offered as part of a Society of Archivists, Scotland training event. Rachel Farmer from Norfolk Record Office drew on personal experience when talking of the Norfolk Record Office fire. Caroline Brown from Dundee University Archives, spoke on writing and implementing a disaster plan and Vanessa Charles, Conservator from the University of Dundee spoke about dealing with disasters from a conservator’s perspective.
