Glasgow Area Disaster Planning NetworkThe Glasgow Area Disaster Planning Network offers support, training and help to members should a disaster occur in any of the participants’ repositories. The group was initiated by the Scottish Screen Archive in 2004 and the first meeting was held in March of that year. The group has met regularly since that date. Each organisation involved is asked to sign an operational agreement and also ensure that their disaster plan is up-to-date. The Group aims to offer one training session per year. For more information about our activities see the GADPN Activities page.
As a consequence of the Group members have become more aware of the need to be prepared and feel better equipped to deal with an emergency should one arise. The meetings provide a chance to talk on a very practical basis as to best places to gain emergency supplies etc as well as planning further training and awareness.
A list of group members, many of whom are also Scotland Region members, is available on the GADPN Contacts page.
