'Imprenting within our Realme': Books from Scotland is one of many celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the first dated Scottish book. The programme of lectures and workshops is designed to cover Scottish book history and production from the fifteenth century to the present day.

RMS Scotland Group and the Society of Archivists Scotland are holding a joint event in Edinburgh (Playfair Library, Old College, University of Edinburgh). The event is sponsored by Crown Records Management Ltd. and the theme is Building bridges with topics including Standards and Digital preservations.

The first annual Scotland's Rural Past Conference will share the many exciting discoveries and experiences of the project so far at the Birnam Institute in Dunkeld.

Scotland's Rural Past (SRP) is a five year project, set up to support local communities to investigate and record the remains of long abandoned settlements in their local areas. Thirty-six SRP projects are currently underway across Scotland, with over 400 volunteers involved.
