Nancy Edwards is honoured in Chelmsford

‘A wonderful permanent memorial to an archivist’

Nancy Edwards (nee Briggs) was assistant archivist, and then senior assistant archivist at Essex Record Office until her retirement in 1987. She was killed in a road traffic accident in Chelmsford in January 2009.

A new road – adjoining the one where Nancy lived in Chelmsford -  has been named after her.
