    We are delighted to announce a training session on GDPR [General Data Protection Regulation]

    As places are limited to 25 in the first instance we will limit allocation to one person per organisation. [A waiting list will be created for extra members which will be allocated on a first come basis if spaces are left, non ARA members are welcome to add their names to this list]

    *Cost:* Free to ARA members and £10.00 for non ARA members payable on the day.

    9:30-10:00: Arrival / welcome with tea and coffee

    10:00-11:00: Stuart Abraham (TNA) on how GDPR will allow us to continue collecting archives for research

    11:00-11:10: Break

    11:15-12:00: Jon Elliott (ARA): The GDPR and archiving

    12:00-13:00: Lunch (not provided)

    13:05-13:35: Jon Elliott (ARA): The GDPR and records management

    13:40-14:30: David Humphreys (Essex County Council) on ensuring compliance

    14:30-15:30: Practical exercise

    15:30-16:00: Discussion

    16:00-16:30: Regional meeting with updates from Jon Elliott

    16:30-17:00: Optional tour of Essex Record Office
