Events

The next meeting of the Archives and Records Association Wales will be held at The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, on Friday 18 March 2011. This is a Joint Meeting with the Conservators and we have organised a full day which includes a Preservation strand of sessions for archivists and a Conservation strand for conservators, along with a joint session at the end of the day.  The business meeting will be in the morning, followed by the presentations and joint session. Lunch will be in Pen Dinas restaurant – members can purchase lunch tickets from me at a cost of £6.50 (including V.A.T.). This includes a choice of soup or sandwich or jacket potato with filling, a sweet or fruit, and a drink. Pen Dinas will reserve tables for us as part of this scheme. There is no need to pay for lunch in advance – I’m happy to receive money on the day. Receipts can be provided for those who need them. We have also made arrangements to meet for an evening meal at Shilam Tandoori. So for those of you who don’t need to rush off at the end of the day, or who are staying in Aberystwyth overnight, why not join us?  Shilam is situated inside the Aberystwyth train station, and we will meet there at 7:30. Also, do let us know if you will be having dinner at Shilam in the evening so that we book enough seating for everyone!
