Welcome to the Campaign

Welcome to our campaign pages. Here you should be able to find all the resources you need to learn more about and participate in the Don’t Risk It! Know Your Records campaign.

This campaign is brought to you by ARA's Section for Records Management and Information Governance. The launch of this website, on 17 July 2014, coincides with a Records Management Advocacy event we are holding at London Metropolitan Archives.

The campaign will consist of the following elements:

altA letter writing campaign to key decision makers in the public, private, and education sectors in September

altA Bring the Boss event later in the campaign. We want to put you and your boss in a room with speakers who will be able provide some perspective on Records Management. More details to follow…

altA do it yourself element – we want you to use the campaign as an opportunity to raise awareness of records management within your own organisations. To give you helping hand we have put together a range of resources: A toolkit with key messages, useful facts, and Don't Risk It! branding to lend weight to your communications. A section of our site is also devoted to positive and negative records management-related case studies

This will initially be a one year campaign designed to increase awareness of and discussion about information and records management outside of our professional circle. We invite participation from anyone with an interest in records management, whether you are a records manager or not.
