ARA Eastern Regional Meeting: Disaster Training and AGM, Monday 14th Sept 2015 Essex Record Office

This event is aimed at archivists and conservators and the half day session will available for the morning or afternoon. ARA members: £45, non-members: £55. Spaces are limited. Please note that lunch is not provided.

10 – 1.15:  Harwell Practical Salvage and Recovery Training (booked participants only)

1.15 – 1.45:  Lunch (please bring a packed lunch) and AGM

1.45–5pm:  Harwell Practical Salvage and Recovery Training (booked participants only)

10am:  Anthony Smith, Chairman of British Records Association; BRA Report on Records At Risk.

10.35am:  Break

10.50am:  Richard Hunt, Archives Manager, Peterborough Archives; The new archive repository at Peterborough. 

11.30am:  AGM

The BRA report on Records at Risk is particularly relevant to us as the Eastern Region was selected as one of the two regions (the other being London) for this major survey.  The full report, summary and findings are available to download from the BRA website at  http://www.britishrecordsassociation.org.uk/pages/news.htm
