'Saving our Sounds' Friday 20th November 2015, Edinburgh

The Film, Sound & Photography Section of the Archives and Records Association [FSPS] is pleased to announce an upcoming training event, which will take place at the National Library of Scotland on Friday 20th November 2015.

The one-day programme is currently being finalised but will include presentations from Will Prentice (British Library) and Alistair Bell (National Library of Scotland) on current nationwide projects for sound archives, including ‘Save Our Sounds’ and ‘Sound Scotland’. Clare Button (University of Edinburgh) will also present on recently archived oral histories (old and new) that document the fascinating world of modern genetics research in Edinburgh over the last 50 years.
