Book your place on our spring training event
The ARA Archives for Learning and Education Section are pleased to open bookings for the Spring training day, to be held on Friday 23rd March 2012 at Langleys Academy, Slough, Berkshire.
Archives go to school: creating educational resources for teachers that teachers want
This training event will focus on how to make teachers and educators aware of archives as resources they can use to enrich the learning experience in the classroom. Speakers include archives professionals, learning and outreach officers as well as educators. The day will consist of a mixture of case studies and practical sessions with an emphasis on:
- creating resources that teachers want
- in a form that they can use
- how to let teachers know what we've created
- and what else we can offer!
The event will be held at The Langley Academy*, which is the first school in the UK to introduce Museum Learning as a dedicated programme across the curriculum. The Langley Academy uses the wealth of museums to give students access to internationally significant collections and archives to unlock the value invested in these collections.
Cost: £45 members, £60 non-members, including tea/coffee and buffet lunch
* Please note that that you need to bring photographic identification to access The Langley Academy.
Please see the event page for the full programme and booking information.
