About meI am currently employed by the Clonfert Diocese, Loughrea county Galway as diocesan archivist. I hold a PhD in History from NUI Maynooth. My thesis, 'Land, politics and religion on the Clancarty estate, east Galway, 1851-1914' was completed in 2011 under the supervision of Professor Terence Dooley. It explored the world of aristocratic Protestant unionism while paying particular attention to class relations.
I have previously worked as an undergraduate tutor at NUI Maynooth and St Patrick's College Drumcondra and have held the Research Studentship in Irish History at the National Library of Ireland between 2010 and 2011, cataloguing the Headfort estate papers.
